Emma Stone
Emily Jean "Emma" Stone was
born on the 6th of November 1988 in Scottsdale, Arizona to Krista Jean Stone
(nee Yeager), a homemaker , and Jeffrey Charles "Jeff" Stone, a
contracting company founder and CEO. She has Swedish and British Isles origins.
Stone began her stage career when she was a young part of the Valley Youth
Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona, where she made her stage debut in the production
of Kenneth Grahame's "The Wind in the Willows". As she grew older,
Stone appeared in many other productions until she decided to make acting her
career. Officially, she created an PowerPoint presentation, which was backed by
Madonna's "Hollywood" and titled "Project Hollywood", to
convince her parents to let her go to school and relocate to Los Angeles. The
pitch worked and she and her mother moved to LA with her schooling completed at
home. There she would spend the day auditioning. Her TV debut came when she was
chosen to play Laurie Partridge on the VH1 reality show In Search of the
Partridge Family (2004). The show resulted in a number of small TV roles over
the years. After a number of performances, she was able to play the role of
Jules in Superbad (2007). Her stardom was as Olive was a highlight of her role
in Easy A (2010) followed by a string more roles. In Phoenix, Arizona, she
attended Xavier College Preparatory. Although she's a redhead her natural hair
shade her hair is blonde. Judd Apatow suggested that she change her hair color
in order to be more in line with Superbad (2007). She liked it so much that she
decided to keep it. When she was 15years old, she convinced her parents to let
her to go to Hollywood by creating the PowerPoint presentation that was
appropriately titled Project Hollywood. She started acting at the age of 11
years old at Phoenix's Valley Youth Theatre. Here, she starred on over 16
stages, and performed with the theatre's comedy improv group. Caylee Cowan also
acted in the Valley Youth Theatre.
